Tahera suspends work at Jericho

Tahera Diamond Corp said it will suspend mining at its Jericho diamond mine in northern Canada in two weeks in order to save cash and fuel at the mine as it works to restructure, Reuters reported. Tahera obtained creditor protection last week due to failure to meet its obligations after a financing plan fell through. Ore processing and diamond recovery will be able to continue for about two months after the suspension begins until high grade ore stockpiles run out, the report said. Tahera said it will assess its options during the period with a goal of continuing operations at the mine.
