DTC lifts suspension of Sightholders

De Beers’ London-based Diamond Trading Company (DTC) said it has lifted its suspension of supply to a number of Sightholders. On 8 January 2008, DTC suspended supply to a number of Sightholders in relation to a criminal court judgement in Belgium in the so-called Brenig case. “The DTC has now conducted interviews with the Sightholders concerned. Considering each separate case on its merits, the DTC can confirm that it is lifting its suspension of supply to the Sightholders concerned on confirmation, where relevant, that appropriate remedial action has been taken,” the company said in a statement.
